Wake and Take
All of us have unique needs, and cannabis users are not an exception. The LIVLI daily supplement contains a unique blend of vitamins, minerals and herbs specifically formulated for regular and occasional cannabis users. Taking our daily supplements every morning will provide you with the sharpness, balance and nutritional fuel you need to take on the day. Enjoy your cannabis experience to the fullest!
It’s basic science.
THC tends to stay in our body for quite some time and brings us some enjoyable benefits. As THC is not normally present in our body, it can naturally bring an imbalance, impacting the release of neurotransmitters (NT) by several organs in our body. LIVLI works to target key organs and balances NT to normal levels so that you can gain the most out of your cannabis experience.
LIVLI has been formulated by PhD based peer reviewed research and proven clinical studies. Click here to ask our resident Naturopath, Dr. Ana, ND, any questions you may have.
Active components of cannabis bind endocannabinoid receptors in the regions of the human brain that are involved in memory formation, complex thinking, movement coordination and fine-tuning. This causes a major decrease in several important neurotransmitters at the neuronal synapse. As a result, we see the classic mind altering effect of cannabis: including muted memory formation, altered perception, sluggishness, and an overall lack of energy and motivation.
While these calming effects are often perceived as positive consequences of cannabis, they tend to linger in the body for a longer duration than intended or desired. This is because THC is readily absorbed and stored in fat tissues; from there it is slowly released over several days, contributing to the mild “re-intoxication” symptom. In order to counter the lingering mind-altering effects, we included several ingredients to increase the production and availability of the lacking neurotransmitters.
B-vitamins, Choline, L-theanine and Tyrosine act as precursors to neurotransmitter, increasing their synthesis and production. Nootropic herbsBacopa Monnieriand Ginkgo Biloba that prevent breakdown of the neurotransmitters that are already present at the neuronal synapse.
Over all these ingredients have been shown to enhance learning, new memory formation, motivation and coordination.
Cannabis has a direct and immediate impact on the heart. It raises the heart rate, dilates blood vessels, and forces the heart to pump harder. Using cannabis may predispose individuals with existing heart disease to the development of chest pain and potentially trigger a cardiovascular event.
Taurine and L-carnitine support cardiac muscle function by calming the sympathetic nervous system that responds to stress. The B vitamins, Folic Acid and Cobalamin, decrease the risk of atherosclerosis and stroke by acting as free-radical scavengers and cardio-protectants.
Both THC and CBD suppress the immune system by decreasing the release of messenger cells at the sites of inflammation. This effect is great for decreasing chronic pain in individuals with inflammatory disorders, like arthritis. If you are a relatively healthy individual, using cannabis recreationally, then you may be putting your body at risk! Especially if you are a smoker. The inhibitory effect on the immune system can prevent cellular repair of tissues damaged by oxidative stressors like smoke or day to day exposures to environmental toxins.
Our supplements contain antioxidants such as Vitamin C and Vitamin E, Selenium, Zinc and N-Acetyl Cysteine, which play a major role in the immune system and detoxification pathways. Their role in our formula is to quench free radicals and reactive oxygen species, preventing damage to DNA, protein and lipid structures. Over all, they protect the user from oxidative stress no matter if it’s coming from inhalation of toxic smoke or other environmental exposures.
We also included several immune modulating herbs.Ocimim Tenuiflorum provides anti-bacterial protection. Panax Ginseng simulates the immune system without decreasing the anti-inflammatory benefits of cannabis.
The inhibited release of neurotransmitters that occurs when THC binds to the endocannabinoid receptors, has a significant impact on mood and energy imbalance. Chronic use can cause irritability, depression, anxiety and fatigue. The LIVLI supplements contain phytonutrients and amino acids that can help give you an extra boost energy and focus!
Tyrosine and L-theanine are protective against mental fatigue associated with stress. Both are also calming agents allowing for greater concentration and attention to detail. Panax Ginseng, Rhodiola Rosea and Withania Somnifera are adaptogenic herbs that can help to improve memory, increase stress tolerance, decrease anxiety and boost energy levels over time.
This is the site where cannabis is activated, metabolized and broken down for excretion. Phase 1 of the detoxification process involves the cytochrome P450 enzyme complex. Phase 2 involves a transfer of a glucuronide group, sulfate group, amino acids or glutathione onto the cannabinoid substrate, readying it for excretion. The function of the liver goes beyond detoxification. It is also involved in the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
In order to support both the liver metabolic functions and detoxification processes we included: Arginine, Taurine, L-carnitine, Choline, Silybum Marianum and Schisandra.
L-carnitine supports the conversion of fats into energy.Taurine and Arginine are amino acids used in phase 2 conjugation reactions. Magnesium, Vitamin B6, Selenium and Folate act as sources of nutrients for glutathione support. Holy Basil is used in the formula for its blood sugar balancing effect. Silybum Marianum and Schisandra are two of the most powerful liver supporting herbs. Schisandra improves liver function by increasing hepatic glutathione levels, inducing glycogenesis and inhibiting lipid peroxidation. Silybum Marianum contains active compounds, silymarin, silibinin and silybin, that can stimulate liver cell regeneration.
